In 1995 the two joined forces to become ST Engineering Hackney and have continued to provide exceptional service, engineering design and product to our customers.   • Paint Prep

    Hackney - NC · Full-time

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Prepare unit for painting (stripping, sanding, washing, masking) following verbal or written instructions, closely adhering to company and customer standards.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Check unit to make sure it is prepared for paint. 

    2. Follow written and verbal instructions to prep units meeting company and customer quality standards.

    3. Detect and report faulty operations, materials and working conditions to supervisor.

    4. Use safety equipment as instructed. Follow safety regulations and company policies.

    5. Maintain work area, equipment and tools in clean orderly condition.

    6. Promote 5S concept of order and housekeeping.

    7. Perform other duties and cross-train as required or assigned.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Entry level.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    1. Physical fitness to perform all functions of designated work areas.  This includes small tool use, full arm and leg range of motion, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and work in awkward positions, talking and hearing.

  • PRODUCTION CONTROL SPECIALIST

    Hackney - NC

    •  Maintaining proper spreadsheets for Production/After Market 
    • Load units in MRP when released from Engineering per Fab Start dates. 
    • Coordinate shop workflow by Running PRO E files (1.xls and 2.xls) for work orders and labels from engineering files, stapling work orders with drawings and labels. Assemble workbooks by printing all pull sheets, cutting MTS work orders for sheets and other items needed for floor stock. Separate work orders for Fab by machine and distribute workbooks to floor per the Fab start schedule.  
    • Provide technical assistance to shop personnel including work order interpretation, engineering drawings, and material substitutions 
    • Add dates in  for units as they go through the process such as starts, completes in Assembly, mounted, park dates, pick up dates, etc.
    • Create packing lists. 
    • Review MRP, generate make-to-stock (MTS) orders to produce parts and sheets, backflush MTS work orders to maintain correct inventory levels including coil 
    • Create Aftermarket parts paperwork, drawings, and align raw materials for the Fab/Sub process  
    • Aftermarket Part Orders- daily back flushing and invoicing.
    • Work to use aged inventory.
    • Maintain Class B CDL to delivery trucks to customers or repair shops if needed.  
    • Maintain forklift license to assist in loading flatbeds or containers as needed  
    • Synchronize with driveway service for pick up/delivery to the customer  
    • Verify all incoming chassis by VIN numbers.
    • Back up to receiving incoming chassis.  
    • Prepare documents such as but not limited to dispatch forms, delivery authorizations and certification labels. File all paperwork per unit, and maintain yearly retention.  
    • On lead team for year-end inventory by working with auditors to provide documents and other documentation needed to verify work in process and inventory on-hand 
    • Maintain proper work per SOP’s 
    • Back up for Master Scheduler and involved in Inventory control activities at the plant.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Assemble and weld components (modifying, setting up, fittings, refurbishing, etc.) following written and verbal instructions, closely adhering to company standards.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • MAINTENANCE ELECTRICAL TECH

    JOB SUMMARY

    Perform major installation, repair and maintenance (mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, etc.) on all equipment in the facility. Also responsible for facility maintenance. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Perform major installation, repair and maintenance (mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, etc.) following verbal and written instructions, reference materials and standard procedures adhering to company, local and state standards.

    2. Ensure that all equipment is repaired and maintained to ensure the highest safety standards.

    3. Provide general maintenance department assistance. Be a team player.

    4. Detect and report faulty operations, materials and working conditions to supervisor. 

    5. Use safety equipment as instructed. Follow safety regulations and company policies. 

    6. Maintain work areas, equipment and tools in a clean and orderly condition. Ensure repair areas have been cleaned of all waste and tooling before returning equipment back to the operator.

    7. Perform other duties and cross-train as required or assigned.

    Requirements

      

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

    1. Requires technical school training and/or comparable experience in specialized field (electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, etc.) Must have state electrical license.

    2. Must have experience working with and troubleshooting low voltage AC, DC Systems. 120, 277, 480 3-Phase Systems.

    3. Requires the ability to operate forklift and material handling equipment.

    4. Must be able to read and understand Schematic and drawings.

    5. Knowledge of company procedures for storage, handling and shipment of hazardous waste to comply with government regulations. Training will be included upon assignment to such duties.

    6. Basic welding skills.

    7. General working knowledge of all aspects of industrial maintenance. Good mechanical and construction aptitude.

    8. Employee must be able to work at heights.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    1. Physical fitness to perform all job functions of the designated work area, including any and all maintenance and heavy lifting assignments. This includes standing, small tool use, full arm and leg range of motion, bending, lifting, walking, crouching, talking and hearing.
